Our Services

  • Basic Lawn Care Program

A healthy lawn doesn’t happen by accident—it needs the right nutrients, protection from weeds, and consistent care throughout the season. That’s where our Basic Lawn Care Program comes in.

Fertilizing your lawn does more than just boost color. It strengthens the root system, improves growth, and helps grass crowd out weeds on its own over time. Targeted weed control stops invasive plants like Dandelions, White Clover, Ground Ivy, and Plantain from stealing nutrients and taking over thin or stressed areas. Preventing crabgrass early in the season is also key—once it takes hold, it can dominate a lawn for months.

This program is a simple, effective way to get a greener, healthier lawn without overcomplicating things.

Here’s how it works: We apply four treatments spaced throughout the growing season, using agricultural-grade fertilizers that are blended based on what your lawn needs at that time. The first two applications include both fertilizer and a broadleaf weed control, plus a crabgrass preventer to stop it before it starts.

The final two visits continue feeding the lawn, and we’ll spot-spray any weeds if needed—though by that point, most lawns are already looking great.

It’s a solid, no-fuss foundation for a lawn you’ll be proud of all season long.

  • Tick Prevention & Treatment

Ticks aren’t just a nuisance—they pose a real health risk to both people and pets. Diseases like Lyme disease and anaplasmosis are commonly spread by ticks, and in our region, it’s not uncommon for them to show up right in your backyard. A well-maintained lawn isn’t always enough to keep them away—that’s where proactive treatment makes a big difference.

Our Tick Prevention & Treatment Program is designed to target ticks during the most vulnerable points in their lifecycle, greatly reducing their population and lowering your chances of contact. As a bonus, these treatments also help control other common lawn pests like fleas, ants, chinch bugs, and sod webworms.

    Here’s how it works:
For preventative care, we apply two treatments per year: one in the spring and one in the fall, timed to disrupt the tick gestation cycle and stop them before they become active.

If tick activity is already present, we recommend a treatment program of four applications, timed to line up with the visits in our Basic Lawn Care Program. This allows for consistent coverage throughout the season while addressing both ticks and general pest control needs.

  • Grub Prevention & Treatment

Grubs are one of the most destructive lawn pests in our area. These white, C-shaped beetle larvae live just beneath the surface and feed on grassroots, weakening your lawn from below. If left untreated, they can cause large patches of grass to brown, thin out, and eventually die off.

The damage often starts subtly: areas of your lawn may feel soft or spongy underfoot, and the grass might lift up like a loose carpet with very little effort. You may also notice an increase in wildlife activity—skunks, raccoons, or birds digging up the turf are often a sign that grubs are present and becoming a food source.

    That’s why prevention is key.

    How it works:
Our Grub Prevention Service is applied during the second application of our Basic Lawn Care Program—timed specifically to stop grubs before they hatch and begin feeding. This early intervention protects your lawn before any damage begins.

If grubs are already active and damage is visible, our Grub Treatment Service is designed to act quickly. We use a curative application that targets live grubs and prevents further destruction. Early action helps minimize long-term damage and gives your lawn a better chance to recover.

Whether you're looking to prevent problems or stop active damage, this service gives your lawn the protection it needs—right down to the roots.

  • Fungicide Treatment (As Needed)

Fungal diseases can show up in even the best-kept lawns—especially during the warm, humid summers we get here in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Left untreated, they can spread quickly and cause lasting damage, leaving behind discolored patches, thinning turf, or irregular dead spots that are difficult to repair.

The good news? Most lawn fungi can be stopped early with proper diagnosis and treatment.

Common Lawn Fungi in Our Area
In this region, some of the most common turf diseases we encounter include:

Dollar Spot – Small, silver-dollar-sized patches of tan or straw-colored grass, often appearing in clusters.

Brown Patch – Circular areas of browning grass with a dark outer ring, typically flaring up during hot, humid weather.

Red Thread – Thinning patches of turf with reddish or pinkish threads visible in the grass blades.

Pythium Blight – Greasy-looking spots that can spread rapidly and may have a cottony or moldy appearance in the morning.

    How We Handle It
We don’t apply fungicide unless it’s needed. Our Fungicide Treatment Service is strictly as-needed and diagnosis-based—we treat only when we identify signs of fungal disease in your lawn.

To make things easy, we offer a Pre-Approval Option, which lets us apply treatment automatically if fungus is found during one of your scheduled visits. That means faster action and less risk of spreading before the next treatment window.

Catching lawn disease early can mean the difference between a quick recovery and months of trying to repair damage. With our trained eyes on your lawn and the option to respond quickly, you can rest easy knowing you're covered if fungus starts to show up.

  • Nutsedge Control

While not as common as broadleaf weeds, Nutsedge can still show up in Hudson Valley lawns—especially during wet summers or in areas with poor drainage. Sometimes called "nutgrass," it may look like regular grass at first, but it's actually a fast-growing, aggressive weed that can quickly take over if left unchecked.

Nutsedge grows faster than your lawn, stands out with its bright green, waxy leaves, and tends to shoot up in clumps that are easy to spot after mowing. It's tough to control with standard broadleaf herbicides, which is why it’s not included in our Basic Lawn Care Program.

    How We Handle It
If we notice small patches of Nutsedge while servicing your lawn, we’ll often spot spray it—especially for our regular customers—at no extra charge. However, if the infestation is more widespread or has developed a strong foothold, we may recommend a full-lawn treatment to keep it from spreading further and choking out healthy turf.

Because Nutsedge grows from underground tubers (called nutlets), it often requires specialized herbicides and a more targeted approach to truly get it under control.

Early detection and fast action are key, and we're here to help you stay ahead of it if it shows up.

  • Fall Aeration & Overseeding

Even healthy lawns can start to thin out or lose their vigor over time—especially after a long, hot summer. That’s why fall is the perfect time to give your lawn a fresh start with core aeration and overseeding.

    Why It Matters
Over time, your lawn's soil becomes compacted from foot traffic, mowing, and weather. Compacted soil makes it harder for grass roots to access the air, water, and nutrients they need to thrive. That leads to thin, patchy grass—and opens the door for weeds and disease.

Core aeration solves this by mechanically removing small plugs of soil from your lawn. This process relieves compaction, improves root development, and allows fertilizer, seed, and water to better reach the soil below.

At the same time, overseeding introduces new grass seed into the lawn, filling in bare spots, increasing density, and improving your turf’s resistance to disease, drought, and pests. Fall is ideal for this because the cooler temperatures and consistent moisture give new grass the best chance to establish before winter.

    What You Can Expect
Our Aeration & Overseeding Service is straightforward and effective. We aerate your entire lawn and then spread a premium blend of grass seed that’s selected specifically for our region. The result? A thicker, healthier, more resilient lawn next spring.

This is one of the most important things you can do annually to improve your lawn’s long-term health—and it pairs perfectly with our fertilizing programs.
